A CLW (Contused Lacerated Wound) is a type of injury caused by blunt force trauma. In this injury: The skin tears open (laceration) The surrounding tissue gets crushed or bruised (contusion) In Simple Terms: Impact + Pressure + Torn Skin = CLW Injury Causes of CLW Injury: Falls Road accidents Injury from hard/blunt objects Common Symptoms: Irregular, torn wound Bleeding Swelling Pain Bruising (bluish or blackish discoloration around the wound) Treatment: Proper wound cleaning & dressing Stitches (if required) Antibiotics and pain relief medications Medical evaluation in case of deep or severe injury Important: Even if a CLW injury looks minor, the risk of infection is high Delayed treatment can worsen the condition
